Bradenton, FL – 21 July 2008 – IMG Academies is proud to announce that Ji Young Oh, a David Leadbetter Golf Academy alumni, has won the LPGA State Farm Classic in a sudden death playoff versus another IMG Academies alumni, Yani Tseng.

"I am really happy. And a little bit of self pride, because my second year at the LPGA Tour," Oh said. "Today I'm just - I was calm. And I just tried to keep my focus. So, yeah, I'm really happy right now."

“Having followed Ji Young’s progress on the LPGA, I was pleased to see her win her first event.  It came as no big surprise as she always knew how to win and I am sure she will continue to win events on the LPGA Tour.  During her time here at IMGA, Ji Young always worked hard arriving early and leaving late working on chipping and putting that eventually paid off for her to win on the Tour.” - Andrew Oliphant, former coach at DLGA.

The David Leadbetter Academy at IMG Academies is equipped with world-class facilities. It boasts a new 7,300-sq. ft.
