Bradenton, FL – 1 August 2008 – IMG Academies is pleased to congratulate Jessica Korda on an outstanding year and top 30 standing. Jessica Korda, current David Leadbetter Golf Academy student, has been a full time student at IMG Academies for the past 5 years, and has been playing at IMGA since she was 5 years old.

At only 15 years old, Jessica was the second lowest amateur at the LPGA US Open. She was the only golfer to shoot in the 60’s on the final day and has recently won the AJGA McDonald’s Betsy Rawls with rounds of 72-71-69 for a 212 total.

“Jessica is a very talented young player.  She has had an excellent summer and has quickly made her way up the Golfweek rankings.  Her finish at the US Open was impressive….she displayed amazing composure for a 15 year old.” – Tracey Reiser, David Leadbetter Golf Academy.

The David Leadbetter Academy at IMG Academies is equipped with world-class facilities. It boasts a new 7,300-sq. ft. Golf Admin Building with putting studio, indoor hitting bay, club fitting/testing facility, pro shop and numerous video rooms. This new building accompanies the 30-acre double-ended driving range with target greens, sand bunkers, chipping/pitching and greens with Tiff Eagle grass.
