Golf School NewsReturn to Press Release ListAugust 27, 2008 Two IMG Academies students qualify for U.S. Women’s Open Bradenton, FL – 12 June 2008 – IMG Academies is pleased to announce that two of its golf students qualified for the U.S. Women’s Open last week. Jessica Korda, currently ranked 38th in Golfweek/Titleist rankings, began training at IMG Academies at a young age with coach Tracy Reiser. At only 15 years of age, she shot an 81 and then rebounded with the lowest score of the day, a 68 to qualify for the U.S. Women’s Open. Victoria Tanco, 14, has won over 100 events in South America and is also the recent champion of the 2008 Scott Robertson Memorial Tournament. Victoria currently trains with Shane Reiser at the David Leadbetter Golf Academy at IMG Academies. The David Leadbetter Academy at IMG Academies is equipped with world-class facilities. It boasts a new 7,300-sq. ft. Golf Admin Building with putting studio, indoor hitting bay, club fitting/testing facility, pro shop and numerous video rooms. This new building accompanies the 30-acre double-ended driving range with target greens, sand bunkers, chipping/pitching and greens with Tiff Eagle grass.
