PHOENIX, Ariz. — The Bird Golf Academy announced a new partnership with the historic Seaview Resort & Spa and Seaview Golf Club located in Galloway, New Jersey.
The hotel and conference center is under new management of Dolce Hotels and Resorts. Seaview features 297 beautifully appointed guestrooms and suites, and since its inception in 1914 has been a leading resort on the East Coast. Seaview offers its guests a complete vacation with on-site amenities including tennis courts, restaurants, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, the Red Door Spa by Elizabeth Arden, and much more as well.
“With golf being a game of millimeters, it is fantastic to be affiliated with an organization such as Bird Golf,” says Seaview Resort General Manager Hans Mulders. “The breadth of experience they bring to the table in terms of Golf Schools is truly outstanding, and their Junior Golf Schools are one of a kind; a great way for kids to learn this marvelous game. I am absolutely confident that this relationship will create the perfect marriage between Seaview and Bird Golf and allow golfers worldwide not only the luxury of being taught by the best, but also stay at the best, the Seaview.”
The centerpiece of this storied resort is its beautiful, fantastic, and legendary golf courses. Seaview Golf Club is presently being managed by the world leader in up-scale golf course management, Troon Golf.
The two Championship 18-hole golf courses offer guests a variety of course designs. Seaview Golf Club’s Bay course, designed by the incomparable Donald Ross is a links-style masterpiece that meanders around Reed’s Bay and was the venue for the 1942 PGA Championship won by Sam Snead. Seaview Golf Club’s Pines course, a William Flynn design, is a classic parkland course that is surrounded by immense pines. The courses also hosted the LPGA Tour Shoprite Classic for 11 years.
The Bird Golf Academy- the Ultimate Golf Learning Experience® offers customized and private golf schools. Bird Golf is unique in the golf instruction arena for many reasons. Principal amongst them are their unique teaching format- the ratio of golf students to champion instructors is only two to one, and sometimes even one-on-one. Their staff of instructors includes a US Open Champion, the 1989 LPGA National Teacher of the Year, PGA Master Professionals, and 6 members of one or more golf halls of fame.
Stephen Havrilla, the Director of Golf said that “Both Seaview Golf Club and Seaview Resort are very excited about our newly formed relationship with Bird Golf Academy and their very qualified staff of teaching professionals. Bird Golf’s teaching philosophy, professionalism and the depth of their instructors can only enhance the offers at our facilities along with their dedicated approach to teaching. This will surely add value to the resort guest experience and will contribute positively to the club’s overall experience.”
Jay Ewing, Bird Golf’s founder and Director of Instruction is similarly excited at their new partnership. “We have been looking for the perfect site for our golf schools in the North East for quite some time. We have a large base of students who live in the New York, New Jersey, and New England areas that have asked us for exactly this. Seaview is so rich in tradition and elegance and its two fabulous courses are classic design. Seaview is the prefect location for us.”
